Dental Restorations
What is Restorative Treatment and Post-Operative Care?
Restorative treatment is meant to enhance and correct your child’s smile. Some of the most common restorative procedures are fillings, root canals, crowns, space maintainers and extractions. We provide restorative care in a way that is comfortable for children of all ages. Post-operative care is necessary when extractions and other procedures are performed. The goal of post-operative care is to enhance the body’s ability to heal properly and prevent infection of a surgical site.
Why does your child need Restorative Treatment?
Restorative treatment is necessary if one or more of your children’s teeth have become decayed or compromised. We will perform an examination to determine which restorative procedure is right for them. From there, we will schedule an appointment for them to have the work done. Restorative treatment may involve the repair or removal or a specific tooth.
Why is Post-Operative Care important for your child?
Post-operative care is vitally important after a surgical procedure has been done. Extractions are one of the most common pediatric surgeries and post-op care is crucial in preventing infection and obtaining proper healing. Post-operative treatment involves care that can be done at home. We are here to help answer any questions regarding your child’s post-op care after a surgery has been done. Post-op care is discussed both before and after the actual procedure so that you know what to expect and how to prevent the likelihood of an infection developing at the surgical site.
What to expect with Restorative Treatment and Post-Operative Care?
